Wow, what a gorgeous fic.

I love that Xander opened up to Spike enough to tell him his sad story and that Spike just hugged him and let him cry on his shoulder. Then when you moved on to Spike debating whether or not to undress him, it was delish and to finish up with Xander watching Spike sleep and then them wanting to be together was just brilliant.

Fabulous *hugs*

Thank you! *hugs*

I could see Xander lying there just looking at Spike and I had to make it a part of the story. :D

Oh, that was lovely. And a little sad. But also hot. I love the Spike pounced. And I really just enjoyed reading this. Thanks for writing and sharing it :-) .

Ever so slowly making my way through the ficathon offerings.

Oh, me too! I've been trying to read one a day, but there's so much other fic being posted it's a slow process. I'll get there eventually though. ;o)

'I breathed him in' came out of nowhere. It was just one of those things that appeared on the screen, and I knew I must've typed it, but I swear it was never actually in my head until I read it on my monitor. It gave me the shivers. *g*

It used to niggle me in a vague sort of way that Jesse was there, then gone, obviously a good friend, apparently Xander's only male friend, but it's only been this last year or so that I've really thought 'but what about Jesse?'. That's what inspired 'Grungefic' (which BTW is still kicking my ass) and a couple of other smaller pieces I've written. Jesse deserves to be mourned/remembered, and if the only way he can get that acknowledgement is through fic, then that's the way it will have to be.

Thanks for enjoying it. :)

I loved the story just like I've loved all your other ones. One thing though is the following line.

"It took almost half the bottle of Kentucky's finest for Spike to get Xander to actually talk about what had got him so depressed"

Jack Daniels is a Tennessee tradition. It has never been made in Kentucky. Jack was born and died in Tennessee. This is really just a matter of Tennessee pride being hurt that people will think that JD is from KY. I just wanted to let you know. Keep writing your great stories.

EEP! My most profuse apologies for the tardiness of this reply, and for the gross offense of attributing JD to the wrong state. *g*

I shall amend my files immediately. I have no idea how I managed to get that wrong. *kicks the research quarter of my brain*

And thank you for enjoying it despite the error. Thank you for commenting! (I hate screwing up like that and I can't believe that nobody else called me on it!)
