So, there goes that resolution...
I decided I wasn't going to sign up for so many 'thons and challenges this year, give myself time to write the bunnies that have collected around my feet without being interrupted by deadlines.

And then I found these, both multi-fandom:

apocalyptothon - No matter how perfect or wonderful a fandom might be, I think we can all agree that one thing that can improve any mythology is to blow it right the fuck up. Or, you know, kill everybody. That can be fun, too. Nuclear attack, asteroid collision, world-altering pandemic that kills off pretty much everybody but a select, angst-ridden few ... this is what apocalyptothon is here for.

Valentine's Day Project -One in three women is assaulted during her lifetime. We're at higher risk of violence; we're in abusive relationships we don't know how to leave. We're the woman with dark sunglasses on a cloudy day, we're the ones at funerals for friends who shouldn't have died. We're raped as collateral damage in wars, draped in heavy cloth to hide ourselves and strip our choices; people like to tell us to keep our silence, keep our homes, keep our husbands' beds, keep our silence.

This Valentine's Day, instead of simply buying into the hearts, flowers, and red silk of our own good fortune, write something. Write 14 somethings: drabbles, scenes, verses, sentences, haikus, essays, stories, letters. Draw 14 somethings: sketches, comics, watercolors, stick figures. Do something to remind yourself and all the people who are going to read your livejournal, and post a link to the V-Day foundation that half the human population is still in constant threat; that we don't have the right to become complacent yet, not when girls in Africa are suffering genital mutilation and husbands have a right to beat their wives and women become victims all over again when they report a rape. Half the challenge is breaking the silence; make some noise.

I am weak. Go be weak with me. :D

Hee! *smooch*

It's a quote! not that I don't agree with it, but... *g*

Apocalypses in the Buffyverse are always fun, and I think a lot of fandoms could cope very well with a meteor strike/plague scenario/dimensional rip/nuclear incident. :D

Hee, the Apocalypothon sounds like great fun and perfect for the SGA 'verse - hey, Wraith, asteroids headed for the planet and there's no way to divert them, the city starts to sink again and can't be stopped, Rodney runs out of coffee and powerbars; the possibilities are endless! Alas, however, I could most likely not be able to write it because right now I'm stuck getting to the part of my Rodney whumping fic where I kill off a couple of redshirts, for fuck's sake. *g*

You know, I managed to sneak past those without being snagged by either of them, but picfor1000 caught me. *g*
