Some of you might have noticed a certain lack of product coming from this journal in recent weeks. I've been suffering from a severe absence of muses - no words would come together on the page, ideas wouldn't gel, every sentence crumbled under my fingers.

It has sucked mightily. And it may not be over yet. BUT! I wished kitty_poker1 a happy birthday about 8 hours ago and the resulting conversation ended with a stern admonition to write, dammit, write! So I did. And those eight hours produced the following two additions to my BDT of Spander.

So, a little while ago *cough*sixmonths*cough*, I asked people to go and look at my Big Damn Tables (McShep, Spander) and choose a prompt and then give me some idea of what they were hoping for, no promises made as to when or how or if I'd fulfill the request.

Yesterday I remembered (*blush*) and finally felt a weak kick from the muse, so I got to writing. I managed six today. The others will appear eventually, and then I might ask for more. ;)

I just received the summer_of_spike '5 days to go' reminder email. And I have nothing. Oh, I've fiddled about with PSP and produced a couple of wallpapers and two or three icons, but fic? Not a word. No drabbles, no ficlets, not even a haiku.

So I'm asking for drabble ideas. You all know I stay true to my boys, so don't expect anything other than Spike and Xander. But give me a scenario, or an object... give me something, and I'll see what I can do with it. Any requests that don't get make it into my SoS submissions will be kept until I come up with something fitting. Hopefully something will spark my muse.
