Mini-Nano is over and I beat it!
Hi, everyone. I know I dropped out of sight again midmonth, but I was still mini-nanoing like crazy, just with added familial effluence.

I signed up for 100 words a day minimum, making a target of 3000 words for the whole month of November. I managed to write something every single day, even when I would much rather have familial TMI here )

How many words did I write in total? *drumroll* 10,423!

I'm very happy with that. (Even as I'm wondering what the total might have been without the batshittery that has been going on here.

For those who are wondering where all the words went after my last fic post, the SGA AU starring Dr Rodney McKay, Psychic to the Stars, look no further than the man himself. He has been talking my ear off pretty constantly and for once, I am not able to write the rest of the story in a linear fashion because I'm too busy transcribing his babble and his antics to add in the usual non-dialogue/descriptive/John-content parts people tend to expect in a McShep story. *g* There is some severe editing and revising (and adding to) to be done before posting, but it's coming! (I just have to recover for a while first.)

For those who missed it, yesterday was actually the 5th anniversary of [info]bloodclaim. While I was too busy with all that (points up-post) to actually get anything celebratory accomplished, the wonderful and talented [info]literati created some kick-ass Spander icons that can be cooed over and marvelled at here. ♥

Lookit!
Late last night/early this morning, [info]literati, my personal code monkey bestest friend, ♥♥♥, tweaked the code for my journal layout to add a taglist in my sidebar, and also to make my tags appear in a heirarchical form on my tag page. (How to.)

Wassat, I hear you thinking? It's this - isn't it nifty? But of course, that only works if you have your tags organised, and I... didn't. So, I went through my tags and renamed them into something that would look pretty when the code went live. (Heads-up to anyone who had any particular tags bookmarked or linked.)

Then I figured that there might be some improperly or incompletely tagged posts in my journal, so I went back to the beginning and started checking, post by post by post.

24 hours later, I have added over 70 formerly untagged older drabbles and drabblesets (some over 2000 words!) to my btvs:s/x:misc tag (and if I have to explain that acronym, you don't know me at all. *g*)

Lesson for the day: Sometimes, a touch of OCD can be a good thing. :D

BT Update: They're still a$$hats, but finally, after 24 hours or so, the illegal, immoral cookies from hell stopped appearing and messing up my ability to browse. There is still some lag time between my clicking a link or typing in an url and hitting 'go' and actually having the page start to load, so I may still be being rerouted through the Webwise servers, but BT haven't contacted me at all to discuss the matter, despite promises of <24hr responses to my emails. I'm still looking for a new ISP. And I will be complaining to someone further up the foodchain.

I has a mood theme!
Yes, after more than two years of nagging, [info]literati finally got me to finish selecting images for a custom mood theme.

When I started pic-picking, it was purely Spander, and I'd almost got them all when I got hooked on SGA, and then I had to split the moods equally so none of the boys got slighted. I'd just about finished choosing again when Supernatural happened and I had to add the Winchester boys into the mix, with an equal share, of course. *g*

Mix in a healthy dose of procrastination and... it took a while.

But I did it! Well, [info]literati did the real hard work, transforming my chosen images into perfect little moods and then taking me through the whole mood theme creation process, step by step.

Yay, moodtheme!

I ♥ [info]literati

P.S. That whole drabble-a-day thing suffered from parental oversight problems but will be returning tomorrow. *crosses toes*

Virtual Chocolates!
As some of you know, I am attached at the fingertips, via YIM, LJ, email and SMS, to [info]literati, but this month she has forsaken me for men in shorts. Yes, she's a footie fan, so for the next few weeks I am a virtual football widow. *pouts*

But I know she still loves me and hasn't forgotten me when faced with all those sweaty, hugging, half-dressed athletic dudes... Where was I? Right. She hasn't forgotten me, and I know this because earlier today she gave me this on my userinfo:

Isn't she adorable?

Thank you, Pookie! :D

GIP!
Made for me by [info]literati for my birthday - my new tri-fandom icon.

Help me! She's already campaigning for a fourth fandom cos it's easier to put four images on to one icon.

Lookit!!!
[info]literati decided it was time to change my layout now that I have 200+ 'friends of'.

*waves to all the newcomers*

She gave me strict instructions on producing my new header - it had to have all four of my boys in it, taken from posed, promo shots, all in monochrome and with red (or yellow - I had a choice!) text. I obeyed, of course, and let her work her magic with codes and hexadecimals and other arcane behind-the-scenes chicanery. And the result is... new layout! :D

Let me know if anything looks oogy or glaring or whatever. Or just pet the pretty.

Lookit what my lovely [info]literati made after I decided I needed a new default icon to celebrate my 'bi-fandom ho'-ness. The manips are by me, but the iconising is all her. *smooches lit*

Yes, Spander is still my first love, but now I am also addicted to the snark that is McShep of Stargate Atlantis. Spander fans should not despair - writing McShep makes me feel like I'm cheating on 'my boys', so I try to produce more Spander to compensate. You can't lose! :D

Early Christmas Pressie!
[info]literati has again worked her coding magic and we now have a new, hopefully more legible, layout for [info]bloodclaim. And a new header too, which is my work. So go, check it out, and let me know if there's anything glaringly wrong, 'k? *smooches to all*

Oh, and there are even more links to play with, all live and working as of yesterday. Feel free to suggest others. :o)
